The water was barely warm. I don't know why this is called a hot spring. There was a couple of dead animals floating in the water along with moss growing all over the tub. We left asap.

Small mud tub with cold water and smells like the earth sharted in it. You're going to need 4X4 super high clearance and you'll probably blow a tire or two on the miserable drive out to this place. Really not worth it and even if you do make it here you'll probably get flesh eating bacteria or brain eating amoebas and die.

Spent half a day finding this secluded spot. It is a concrete tub built by forest service. It's fed by a natural hot spring. Big enough for about eight persons. Locals have left cleaning tools to help keep the tub clean from the natural algae. Be aware it's clothing optional. A well kept secret.

However, there are several of these tubs in secluded places dotted along the owens River.

This place used to be so nice, but lately it's become piled with garbage and algal blooms. The roads to the spring are very chewed up, 4x4 with solid clearance is needed to access the area and there is not cell service in case of emergency. The locals have chased people out of the tub for being disrespectful and arriving with too many people in their group.
