The natural hot springs are a short walk from the road. We went after a light dusting of snow and it was worth it. We were going to head out for sunrise, though with the recent storms, it can be difficult to navigate the path without light. Beautiful scenery and the hot spring was toasty hot. We need to go back in the spring when there is more green then snow.
Great spot great views. A whole lot of mosquitoes... take bug spray. Water was great and relaxing... I went in june was still in the 60s 70s probably less mosquitos in the winter. There's a couple campspot there but for nothing larger than small rv or van
Nice experience to see the hot water poor out of the ground. Happy I made the small detour (gravel road) to get to this place. I feel it is good how the area is prepared for visitors yet the public restrooms were disgusting and need cleaning. Wordt public toilets I have experienced in the USA.
Sunrise in the winter is the best time to come since the weather was so cold and the hot spring temperature was perfect for the moment. I came on Wednesday and camped overnight at the parking lot to catch the sunrise. The hot spring is nice and clean, accessible from the parking lot, probably 0.3 miles hike. It’s a single pool with hot and cold water pipe to adjust the temperature. The scenery was amazing. It was a great experience driving 6 hours through the snow storm for this.
