Breathtaking and picturesque views that are worth the price of admission. I inadvertently received the Gold Star and Veteran National Parks and Recreational Land lifetime Pass so, if you qualify it may behoove you to take up the offer, if you haven't already.
Either way, The Park is worth a look!
Wahweap Overlook is a great viewing spot of Lake Powell. We enjoy watching sunrise from the overlook then driving the lake shore drive road while the sun continues rising. Shadows play in the rocks allowing for some fun sights. There is a very large dirt/gravel parking lot with a couple of covered picnic tables. Looks down on Wahweap Marina. This overlook is off hwy 89 and there is no fee station, though I am not sure if it truly a no fee area. We have a National Parks pass so I don't always pay attention to those details.
