Overcharge for everything it's ridiculous and they wonder why people dump in the woods it shouldnt cost an arm and a leg to dump stuff were being robbed especially now with the covid 19 epidemic you would think they would want to help people instead of taking what little money we do have Man can we get a break!!!!

Over priced and inconsistent pricing. They will take aluminum cans but don't pay you. Always a huge line on the weekends. If there was 0 stars that how I would rate this place.

Incredibly expensive. $10.68 for 2 32gal bags of trash. Free corrugated cardboard drop-off for non-city. They might have a broom you could borrow.

This place is terrible. I have tried to drop of paint cans for hazardous waste weekends and they turned me away saying that it was the following weekend which contradicted the information on their website. So I came back the next 3 weeks in a row and they pushed it off until finally they told me it was NEXT year that they are accepting hazardous waste for Portola. Also, May is supposed to be free yard waste month for locals on weekends. However, make sure you show up with a proof of residence… But good luck trying to figure out what they want for proof. I have showed my license and they turned me away because they needed a utility bill. So I came back with my electric bill and they let me through.. The very next weekend the dude wouldn’t take my power bill. It had to be a water bill specifically. So I came back with my electronic water bill.. but it had to be a paper water bill. Apparently, the guy that runs this place makes up the rules as he goes. Expect to be turned away for any reason he makes up at the current moment. They are also closed randomly whenever they feel like it.. Here’s an idea, how about you hire some competent employees. No wonder why there are trash dumps all over Portola.
