The Almanor RV Dump Station is open to everyone, and allows four RVs at a time.
Huge camping site, very clean restroom. Water supply everywhere. Close to the boat launch and swimming beach. But no food storage. Can collect the dead wood.
Nice campground but the men's restrooms have not been working since the end of May according to the camp host. That means men are in the women's side of the bathrooms - No thanks.
Almanor is a special place, and the Almanor Campgrounds are hard to beat. On the map, it shows only one campground but actually there are 3 separate Forest Service Campgrounds, with a total of about 120 campsites. There is a free boat launch and a wonderful paved bike trail that goes through all of them and follows the lake shore for 11 miles! Free day use areas with picnic tables, and pet friendly.
Great campground. Arrived and the spot I reserved was too small, host Steve directed me to another spot. Loved the kinntain air and great hiking.
Love having a campfire at the campground !! Boat ramp and bathrooms, well it was late in the year mid October so there were portapotties. Can't wait for next year !! Already checking for reservations policy.
