The facility is located on the 22N24 Road spanning the South Fork Feather River. The facility will feature new campspurs, new toilets, picnic tables and fire rings. This camp is ideal for OHV enthusiasts. Water: Hand pump broken at this time. Access from Feather Falls side only at this time.
Just gorgeous. Amazing little spot on the Feather River. Perfect swimming holes. Very few bugs and minimal poison oak. You can jump off of Golden Trout Crossing, the bridge that spans the river but is closed to cars. This means you will have to choose a way you come in. The side from Brownsville is more challenging/rugged and recommended for AWD only. The other side through Camp Eighteen is the easier, but longer way in.
This is a gem of a spot. My mother's family as well as my mother-in-laws family have been going here for years...since they were little girls. We have kept the family tradition ourselves with our kids and my own kids look forward to bringing their kids someday. It has changed in recent years. There are now designated day use areas and camp spots, as well as more bathrooms. They are supposed to have started charging $15 a night. Having come here all these years and loving this little spot, it's worth the $$. The best swimming spot in peace and tranquility. Enjoy a day of wadding, gold panning, fishing, checking out Sly Creek Reservoir, lots of off-roading roads throughout. Lots of fun for the whole family.
