Little North Fork Campground boast 6 wonderful sites, widely spaced, right along the river. It appears to be recently renovated (at the time of this writing, 2016) with a new vault toilet, bear proof trash and recycling containers and concrete picnic tables. The Forest Service web page for the campground indicates that the water pumps are broken, but it appears they have been deliberately disabled--you'll need to bring your own water.

There are a few different routes to this campground via Forest Service roads. Be prepared to ford streams, scrape by overhanging foliage and perhaps even move a few downed trees on your trip in. Once you get there, it's worth it.

Hard to find, but gorgeous, this little camp by the north fork of the Feather River is a hidden gem. I recommend 4wd or at least a vehicle with good ground clearance, as the road in is 9 miles of rutted dirt, rocks, steep climbs, a couple stream fords, and lots of overgrown bushes. Once you are at the campsite, however, it is lovely. The sites are clean, as is the vault toilet, and there are fire rings and tables. Very quiet, with less than 10 sites. As you drive in, note any wide spots on the road; most of it is single vehicle width, and if you meet anyone, you may have to back up for them to get by.

Great place. I just wish the Forest Service would clear the roads so that it was more accessible
