LaFitte’s Hideout is located in Port Aransas, Texas, on beautiful Mustang Island. The resort is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Corpus Christi and roughly three hours from San Antonio. We are situated on a secluded seven acres, deep in the heart of the island, a walk or a golf cart ride away from all that Port Aransas has to offer. At LaFitte’s, you are within walking distance to great restaurants, nightlife, and a short golf cart ride to the beach.
We have been staying at LaFittes for 5 years. It's always been a good spot to stay but this past year, it has been exceptional. It is a quiet park. The new lady in the front office, Bev, is exceptional! She is always there to help us when we need it....and very friendly. The amenities are perfect for us. We are looking forward to being back in 2024.
Excellent stay for us. First time coming to Port Aransas, we wanted a park that wasn't too large with too many spaces and too many people coming in and out all the time. LaFitte's was just right. Management is friendly and efficient. Any time we needed change for laundry, picking up our mail, general questions about the area they took care of it. Property is always clean and being attended to. Just four washers at the property, but it was never an issue waiting to get laundry done. (And if you need big stuff done Wacky Willy's is right around the corner.) Didn't have a chance to use the pool, but the area is well kept and clean and groups were meeting up (at a distance) making this a very friendly environment to want to join in. Great location walking distance to the Marina for fishing, walking the dog, watching boats go by & sunsets. Restaurants nearby in every direction. Grab your cart and go. And a relatively quick 15 minute walk with the dog to get right on the beach and to the Horace Caldwell Pier. IGA grocery store and Paul's Seafood a few minutes away. And of course the ferry is at your beck and call, 1 minute away if you need to run to H-E-B grocery or Walmart or to check out Rockport & Goose Island.
Nice enough place to visit the area. Clean and reasonable size lot. But would not label it a resort. Amenities are limited to a none heated pool, a small deck and clubhouse. Would definitely come back for its location.
We enjoyed our stay at LaFitte's, a hidden gem!! Everything was very well kept, nice and clean.

We stayed here for three months and just left this morning. We loved it and booked for four months next winter. Great friendly staff, located near everything in town. Down the road from the beach and less than a block from the ferry boats. Nice pool and quaint club house. Highly recommend it.
