Not even blm...the place we were looking for wasn't vehicle accessible as we were informed, far beyond walking distance for us 50's something hobbling steppers. Disappointing actually
The sites vary...some are right on the river, shady and very nice; others are on the other side of the road and not so shady or private. On the whole, though, this is a great, FREE place to camp about 30 miles from Boise. At the dam, there are dumpsters and water. There are vault toilets near some of the campsites. There is a lot of daytime traffic for boating and fishing. There is no cell service in the campsites, although you can often get a Verizon signal near the garage at the dam (garage is across the parking lot from the restroom) .
This campground isn't suitable for RVs. The road in is rough and narrow, turns are tight and most of the sites are small.
Great location for camping. I wish I had brought my fishing gear because they were jumping.
