Jonesport Campground is a small seasonal Maine campground that can accommodate RV's and tents. RV's up to approximately 45 feet can be accommodated. There are approximately 20 camp spots. The campground only has a small portable toilet available for campers so, most campers are self contained. There are no hookups. The campground is right on the ocean. Services near the campground in Jonestown are limited so bring everything you need. A web site and phone number were not available for the campground.
From the town of Jonesport, travel east on Main Street for approximately one mile. Take a right on Kelly Road. In a few blocks, take another right onto Campground Road and take it half a mile into the campground. Note: Campground road is dirt but the road is wide enough and passable for RV's up to approximately 40 feet. There is a circular drive at the end so it's easy to bet back out without unhooking the tow car.
Spent many days as a kid. 50 years or so ago & I would love to visit again! I still consider down east " home".
Can you still dig clams while staying there??
Nice and cosy campround with friendly people and hosts!! You have a great View to Beals island and the nature around. Although there are no showers, you get an authentic piece of Maine. One of the Highlights on our tour!
I was born and raised in Jonesport and have spent every summer of my 52yrs in Jonesport...the last 10 yrs at the Campground, and have never been treated so rudely in my life by a Campground “Host”!!! Double Standards and Lies by Campground Host, Gary Howe, led me to file a complaint with Jonesport Township!! Such a beautiful spot tainted by a bitter man who spends his days on his porch drinking Samuel Adams all day and passing judgements on innocent bystanders!!!!
Beautiful ocean views! It can get chilly so bring warm clothes too! Great camping spot at a great price!
If you like the sound of lobster boat engines at 4am and the chance to be socked in with fog for 3 days or the whole month of June ( this yr )with cool temps this is the place to be! Coolest place in maine in the summer literally!
