Such a cool place. I wanted to get here before sunrise, but definitely not the best place to arrive when it's dark. There is camping. The water is beautiful. And I finally saw a moose!! The mosquitoes are horrible so come prepared.

One of the nicest places I have ever been accidentally; definitely planning to go back and explore 10x more

Beautiful views from Avery Peak and a very fun climb. Make sure you are either covered or have bug spray in the summertime.

Do not expect to make your way through the preserve on the Flagstaff Trail from the Stratton side of the park. It's a Dead end about 1/2 hour in. It was a rough wooded drive with nothing more than one or two beautiful pullover points along the way.
