Very quiet and easy to get to. In early August, we arrived at 9:30pm and there were still several spots open. Each spot has a flat dirt area and a large covered area with a picnic table. There are clean vault toilets and trash bins.
It was dead quiet from the time we arrived until we left at 1:30pm the next day even though there were campers close by. The surrounding landscape was beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to check out the trails or anything nearby.
Very quiet well spaced spots. Nice picnic table under ramada with fire ring. Bring everything you need. Big rigs may struggle at entrance. Low hitched bumper pulls may scrape. Found human likeness in cliff wall behind spot 5...could it be JOE SKEEN?!
One of the best campgrounds of my cross country road trip. Absolutely a highlight of 8k miles of driving! Very few people, beautiful landscape, well cared-for sites. Love this place.
Campground was nice and free. Arrived at 3pm on a Friday evening and got the last space. Campsites are large and spread out from one another. The were about 8 campsites. Small campers or tents advised. Sharp washout on short dirt road going in would bottom out larger vehicles. Recommended to arrive early as approx ten vehicles after mine arrived looking for spaces. Evening was very quiet and other campers made no noise that I could hear. Some trails into the bluff nearby that are hikeable. But some loose rocks.
