Mid-April to Mid-May is the best time to visit. The Red Bud Trees are in bloom and look amazing.

The redbud trees lining the roads in this park are beautiful enough to be on a postcard.

Our family recently visited the park for a family hike around the lake. The entire hiking loop is about 4 miles and the paths were well maintained. The terrain is mostly flat and does not make for a difficult hike.

The fall colors here would be fantastic, and I think our family is planning to come back during the fall months to experience the fall beauty here.

The park has campgrounds, swimming beach, boat ramps, and special kayak launching ramps. I can't not attest to the quality of these facilities, but the campgrounds were full and there were plenty of visitors at the beach. We would like to try kayaking at this park sometime as well.

I would certainly recommend a visit to this park either by yourself or with others.

Wonderful state park for fishing. The lake is clean and well groomed, and is very accessible from shore via trails with access to the water. Has modern bathrooms, camping facilities, swimming area, and trails. Keep up the good work.
