The entrance to the park is located at 2410 West Lone Tree Road; 2 miles west of Hwy 218, in northern Cedar Falls. The park is 4 miles south of the State Trap Shoot Gun Club; 7 miles north of the UNI-Dome (University of Northern Iowa) and 19 miles south of the Horse Sale Barns in Waverly.
Good gun range, when the fudds aren't walking about flagging everyone. Best time is early mornings.
Huge park. Lots of wildlife, good fishing on the Cedar River and Snag creek.
Great rustic campsites available along the Cedar River, trees and fields. Electric and full hookups available in field type setting.
Flush toilets available. Poor shower facilities.
Fantastic connection to dedicated paved bike trails to downtown Cedar Falls, connecting to great trails in George Wyth trails. Under used trails.
