From Hwy 96 & S Main St: Go 1/2 mi S on S Main St. to Campground Rd.
Love this campground top 5 in Illinois. The hiking and views are second to none. And a must stop is the landing for food is great
Camped at Campsite B twice now, first time was great with no complaints, second time was awful. Was full of people who found a cheap place to host their bonfire parties. Multiple campers were wasted and partied until midnight (we left then) you're supposed to be quiet at 10pm and no campground host to be seen to enforce the rules. Drunk people kept coming to our campsite late into the night to hit on the females in our small group. Was not welcome and will not be camping here again.
We love Pere Marquette Campground! Nice sites and most are fairly level. We enjoy the surrounding area with the beautiful views. We did not use the bathhouse but our friends did and said the showers were not great.
I gave this 5 stars. Its a simple campground with showers, and electricity. I I went on a blustery 8 degree night followed by a 40 degree day. I hiked six miles, and it was so much fun. Everything is close by, everyone was friendly, it was absolutely beautiful.
