About Campground

This campground is the site of an old Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) work camp. Somewhat off the beaten path Camp Cadiz is usually quiet and rarely do the campsites fill up; with the exception of turkey and deer hunting seasons. The campsites are level and each has a fire ring with grill and picnic table. Equestrian camping is allowed. Well maintained with bases of structures still there from the days it was a CCC camp. I have it 3 stars because they removed the water without updating the camp's web site.

Fun place to camp but it was taken over by hunters the Thursday I went and it looked like they moved in. Super quiet, no services, the water won’t hook directly to a hose so bring jugs if you need water for an RV.

Hikers should be aware there is no longer any water supply here. There may be water a half mile down the R2R trail at Beaver Creek but it is seasonal and was bone dry this weekend.

We brought our own water and cloths to clean off the table. Nice trash bin for trash. Trees for shade. Stoves with grates for grilling.
