A great intermediate hike with best lookout point of entire Boise town centre. One can see the Boise airport from top of Table Rock mountain. It takes about 1 hour hike up and another one to come down. Best done in the morning of Spring. Not too hot or too cold. Trails can get really muddy after a shower. Great place to bring your kids and dogs along. The view of the valley is spectacular! Lots of parking at the start of the trail.

One of the best views of the Valley and a nice hike.

If you choose to hike the road up from the Old Penitentiary, do it in the early morning, it gets hot quick and watch your step, you could encounter a snake or too :)

No where to park, not open to drive up to it, not unless you're on a bicycle. Or walking. My husband went through cancer n chemo. So he wasn't able to walk to it, if there was a place to park. Very disappointing. But the view of the valley was great.

Table Rock was a neat experience, a sight to see, theirs a huge cross at the top, the hike up the mountain is 25 min. but it's worth it and not that bad, it seems like someone is always there, and you get a aerial view of all of Boise.
