We had a great time camping here with our large group. Our two sites were very small, so not great for large tents. One of the spots had no flat spot besides the parking spot so we put most of the tents on one site, gathered at the other. A lot of shrubbery instead of trees so bring your own shade. We were able to make it work with our many tents thanks to the staff caring for the place who let us pitch our tent in the driveway of an unusable space. Three stars because if you're picky you won't like it, if you like to make the best of a situation you'll love it like we did. I suggest if you have blow up air mattresses just pitch your tent on the parking spot, that's how we could fit our big tents.

Great site, close to town and close to the reservoir. Right up the road there are dirt trails you can take almost any vehicle on for a drive into the mountains.

Nice, quiet campground! We were tent camping and it was perfect for us. We definitely would not bring our large 5th wheel though, narrow roads with low over-hanging trees and tight turns. Small campground but nice privacy with woods and a creek next to us. Bathrooms were okay— not the cleanest but could’ve been worse too. No showers and the only water spigot we saw was broken.

I LOVE this campground. It's 25 minutes from Bear Lake and that's the point. You won't have to deal with large groups of people and annoying noise, lights and smells. Nobody was camping next to me while I solo camped. I stayed for 2 nights. Bring your own water 💧

I solo camp a lot so I had no issues with the size of the spot. Infact, it was perfect & could've fit another tent.

The creek ran behind my tent and the stars were so so beautiful.

I will be back soon. I left a cute note to show my appreciation & souvenirs for the next campers or forest service.

I 💜 Idaho. It's so beautiful and the people I met were all so friendly.

No cell service but I prefer that. I would recommend downloading music and movies before your trip. If you don't, that's ok. Drive 5 minutes down the road & you're in town with 5G and full bars.

Small, yet cozy little campground. Has toilets, picnic tables/benches, and firepits. The sites are quite small, so probably not suited for large groups. Knocked a star off just for the location: it's literally right next to the canyon road, so there is frequent traffic noise. Otherwise, I had a lovely stay as a solo camper.
