Mormon Bend Campground is composed of 15 campsites including 1 double-site bordering the Salmon River. All sites are first-come, first-serve. It is situated in a lodgepole pine forest along with sagebrush and some open meadows. Visitors can fish for trout and steelhead in the Salmon River and surrounding creeks. This campground is opened early in the season to accommodate steelhead fishermen. A designated put-in for float boaters is located within the campground.
From Stanley, go 8 miles northeast on ID 75. Turn right into the campground.
$16 per night for single-sites including 1 vehicle and $32 per day for double-sites including 2 vehicles. $8 per day for an additional vehicle.
10-day stay limit. Campers must occupy the site the first night and cannot go more than 24 hours thereafter without occupying the site.
Nice place with paved trailer parking. Very clean restrooms. The area camphost manager on site kept quiet hour enforced. Short distance to town.
Nice campground along the river. The campground is nothing fancy and slightly more exposed than I generally prefer, but it is a beautiful setting and it's nice to fall asleep listening to the river rushing by.
