We are a seasonal campground open April 15 thru October 15. We have seasonal, monthly, weekly, and overnight rates. We have planned activities as well as many amenities. River frontage, canoe/ tube rental, mini golf, pool and so much more.
From jct I-80 (exit 267) & SR 38: Go 500 feet N on SR 38.
We love it here we been permanently camping here for 3 years now. Till we got blindsided by being asked to leave the campsite permanently. Melissa "owner"is very two faced watch what you say or do. Your walking egg shells everyday your there cause she'll change the rules daily an not anyone.
Got there Friday night Aug 18 and Interstate 80 noise was so bad we couldn’t hear each other by the fire. Had to wear earplugs to sleep. Also we were right under a huge lighted billboard. Had to put towels over windows to block the light out. Saturday was the tanking float. They said it would take just over 5 hours. They were wrong, it took 8 hours and we hardly stopped the whole way. Was the worst camping experience ever.
When we called to reserve a site we asked for two things, full hook up and be able to get satellite (Direct TV). The person was very nice on the phone stating she had a site for us. We backed into site which was tight but do-able. My husband plugged in our power surge protector and it showed issues. The owners weren't there but she did call back, gave us a few choices of other sites which we didn't fit. She even had someone (I assume CG Host) drive my husband around looking at other possible sites. None would work for our rig. We were disappointed but had no choice to look else where. We asked for refund and were told according to the cancellation policy nothing would be due. She did say she'd tell them it was an emergency and would see if they (who "they" are I don't know, possibly management company) would do anything but it's been 2 days and have heard nothing. It wasn't like we said "changed our minds, we don't want to stay here". We had no choice!
Map on website is not 100% accurate. We booked spots by the pavilion. Per the map, the pavilion was further away, compared to right next door. They did move an event since we were right there. Which was nice. We were just expecting way more grassy area. The tube rental/float the River they offer seems overly priced. $30 per person/float includes a tube, life vest, and a “shuttle” (old school bus) to the input spot. The pool was nice! The kids had fun. The water was really cold for being mid August though!
If you have ever had to pull over on the side of the interstate and thought it was a great time, then you would love this place! Being close to the interstate is an understatement you are literally in the ditch of I-80. You do not need to worry about outdoor lighting because they’ve got 2 massive billboards that shine bright all night long. This was probably the worst place we have ever stayed. The sites are extremely tight and in poor shape. Campground is extremely dirty and neglected.
