Took 3 tries to find a worker to pay to dump our dirty water. But we live 5 minutes away so not a huge deal. She was very friendly and helpful when we finally did find her
This shouldn't even be considered a encore park. Spent two nights there. More like a village of mini mobile homes. Had to dodge carports and squeeze my 41' class A between two mobile homes and also a telephone pole. Never requested this place. Booked Sunshine Travel. But TT booked me to Holiday Travel instead. Only room for a hand full of RVs . Very disappointed.
Have a 23’ trailer. Stayed here because we are members of Thousand Trails. Guess there was a reason why this was the only place I could get a reservation on short notice. Most spots are by permanent residents.
Very tight roads and narrow spots. YOU NEED A SURGE SUPPRESSOR. The first day we stayed there was a big surge.
Water pressure a little on the low side. The sewer hook up is in the concrete so it was a little difficult to hook that up.
Bathrooms are not air conditioned.
Now for the good parts - the library and club house is great! Pool tables, competition shuffleboard, horse shoes, and corn hole courts. Pool looked nice.
Pet friendly but no free run area. I didn’t see any strip club as prior reviews mentioned but there is a liquor store and lounge, restaurant, and grocery within walking distance. Very short drive to the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs.
I liked the location but I too wasn’t going to be walking around at night. There were a lot of homeless people hanging out by the entrance to the park.
We have stayed here a few times , we are 1000 trails full timers. We were due to move today, but a big storm is coming and it's not safe to travel. Matthew McKeoun was able to find us a spot of a couple days to keep us safe and off the roads.
Thank you so much Matthew, you are amazing!!
We really enjoy staying at the Holiday Travel Park through Thousand Trails and this is our third stay here. The residents of the park are very friendly, inviting, and will strike up a conversation with you as you sit in the main lodge or walk through the park. Matt and Christa, the office staff, are also very friendly and are always helpful to make your stay wonderful here at Holiday Travel! Just outside of the park, you’ll find a Winn Dixie grocery store (on the right), and to the left, a local Greek food stand (wonderful), a liquor and wine store with a great selection, and more. Within a short driving distance, there are nice local parks and walking trails – recommend the North Anclote Nature Park and Jay B. Starky Wilderness Park (dogs on leash allowed in both). In terms of local major attractions, Tampa is about a 40 minute drive away where you can visit the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and more. Tarpon Springs is a very short distance away and very worth visiting the Sponge Docks, the Hellas Restaurant, and many shops. Parking is free in the Hellas Restaurant’s Parking Lot (around back) provided that you dine at their restaurant. Be sure to get a validated parking ticket from the server.
