About Campground

High Country RV Park can be found in the Southwestern Colorado town of Naturita (Indian for "Little Nature"), along the majestic and scenic Highway 141. This is truly a bit of Colorado's last frontier. The scenic grandeur of this area, which has been compared to the Grand Canyon, can be enjoyed from the comfort of your R.V., rather than the back of a mule!

We have 32 FULL hook up RV sites, 5 primitive tent spaces, RV's and a cabin to rent! We have a spot for you! Bring the family! We also have a laundry mat, Free Wifi, BBQ grills, showers, fire pits and much more!

The park is 100 miles South of Grand Junction, 97 miles N North of Cortez, and 80 miles from Moab, UT. When was the last time you got away from it all and went back to nature?

When you choose to camp at High Country RV Park, we make camping simple so that you have more space and time to enjoy the greater outdoors.

Since 2002, travelers from all over have been visiting our campgrounds in Montrose County, CO, and many of them like it so much that they choose to return year after year.

Stopped here from Moab to Telluride. Small, pass-thru sort of town. Facility was well kept. Bathroom/Shower was clean. Hook-ups worked for the RV slip. There are a few food options in walking distance. Does what it needs to for an overnight stop.

This place was great. Clean, hot showers (free). WiFi that actually works. Nice washing machines/dryers ($1.50). Full hook-ups at the site (including sewer and 50amp). The owner is former military and law enforcement. He is super personable. Many sites with shade.

The RV park has some nice trailer spots with plenty of space and shade from trees and is conveniently located of the main road through Naturita. The Wifi actually worked well and it is kept up and in good condition. The owner was fantastic and helpful in everything we asked. He found us a spot that would fit our 40 foot fifth wheel trailer well when we arrived and helped us get into our spot. On the day we planned to leave we had a problem with our trailer and could not get hitched up. The owner helped us, let us borrow tools, and called nearby business for us. He went way above and beyond for us and we would definitely recommend coming to High Country RV Park.

Recently changed owners, the new owner seems to want to make some needed updates. It's a really convenient location. We just stopped for water and to dump, but the owner was really nice and only charged $10. The spots are nothing fancy, but if you need a place to overnight, it's conveniently located right on Main Street. And, just down the road is a place to refill propane if needed.

High Country RV was excellent to our weary group of bikers after a long day of mountain roads. Lloyd had no problem with us taking a single site up with our 5 bikes. While the weather for us was nice enough to only set up cots or sleep on the ground it may not be during your stay. The sites are very dusty and if you go left from the main entrance there is deep gravel so be aware. WiFi, laundry, electric and showers made this a great place to recharge and get a good night's sleep.
