Just spend a week at campground with our kids, their two year old son, and their golden retriever. The only great experience was the weather. We cook most our meals on open fire and enjoy sitting around the campfire at night. We obeyed the rule of buying the wood there, 5 bundles for $35.00. Each bundle has roughly 5 pieces of wood. We purchased over $100.00 of wood for the whole week only to find out it was not dry. Instead of a nice fire , we had smoke!!!! The pond was horrible. Large leaches all around the edges and lots of green slime on rope, just gross!!!! The dog park is nice and again we obeyed the rules and kept the dog on leash except in their restricted area. Read the rules and was never stated that we could not fill the DOG pools up with water. After filling the pool up for our large dog at 90 degree weather we were rudly told they fill pools up and only a little bit for small dogs. So, if you have a large dog, you're SOL!!!! Some of the staff was okay! But one guy was just rude!!! Waved to him many of times and just got a scowl. I agree with other reviews about the store. Not much there at all. Finally, when we booked our site, the only availability we had for 43 foot 5th wheel, 50 Amp, full hook up was site 151. However, the whole camp ground was basically empty for that week, why???? We were stuck in the back by the compose pile and spent one day listening to the tractor push it up, annoying for a peaceful week off. Besides that, the skeptics in the back are all up hill. I'm not sure what kind of campers others have, but our does not drain up hill. We had booked for four days in August, but will be canceling. Too bad things were not good. We had planned on booking 6 sites for a late September ATV ride with friends. Going somewhere else!!!!

We stayed this past weekend and enjoyed our time. I highly recommend to choose the wooded sites. We had #61 and it was fantastic and very spacious. The main bathrooms are very nice and clean. Lots of activities for the kids. Great experience.

Lots to do for kids of all ages. Great location close to town and all the boat landings but secluded enough. Walking trail is beutiful, dog park is a good size with a small pool for the pups and bench for owners. Bathrooms are always clean and good size showers. My kids love the jumping pillow, pond with inflatables and park.

Very strict rules. Environment is not laid back. If you plan on bringing your pet make sure you have a leash or you will get yelled at. Make sure you have your wristband they provide, on at all times. You pay $20 extra for a parking pass (this includes an additional $20 for anyone who visits). I will say there are alot of amenities for kids. However, you don't feel like you can have fun because you constantly feel like you are being watched. The two days I camped with family was okay, but will not be returning. Would much rather camp in a more laid back environment and not have to worry about telling my kids to be quiet all the time. Camping is suppose to be fun. Not a warm welcoming campground.

Best campground for kids! So much to do at the campground and locally. We had a seasonal site, well worth it! Wish we could have gotten up more. Peaceful, on a clear night you can see all the stars, caught a couple small meteor showers. Other campers were all courteous and friendly. If you are looking to camp in the Northwoods this is a great choice!
