I mustsay i read the review and my heart broke a little. For the past 13 years I was the owner of this stable. I bought it just before the owner lost it because he was going into a bankruptcy. It was named after a horse that touched hundreds of lives. Many of them came to know her because someplace in there lives became very broken. When you by a place and it doesn't require a inspection you will get a lot of surprises . The first was finding out the foundation of the house had nothing holding it up, the entire arena imploding in a snow storm, a large number of stalls being to dangerous to put anything in. Putting every penny you have into it and just not having enough pennies to make the changes you know need to be made.somehow even with these problems we were able to do a top notch 4-h program ,do a therapy program for children and adults who had no way to pay. The pictures Michael posted as before pictures are actually damage done by a huge snow storm. It cost us $140,000 to rebuild the arena after it imploded from thr weight of the snow. It did need repaires when the real owner took it over but not the kind the pictures show. NARHA no longer exist and has not for years so I'm not sure how Michael is a member in good standing. The person who actually knows about horse,riding and care of horses is no longer there and neither are her credentials.the horse showed in the pictures with Michael is a 30 year old dead broke therapy horse that a 4 year old can ride by themselves. This horse is no longer at the barn. Lastly I have many concerns about the new arena put in on the lower property. In late fall and winter this area is a marsh. It has been built by a creek that is and has been as long as anyone can Remer a spawning route for not only trout but also salmon. I'm not saying don't board their but please please please ask ti actually see credentials ands and follow up on any refrances you may get. If you fell this is a good fit for you then by all means board there but if you ask for any type of references you will possibly be told it would not be a good fit for you.

J Bar M Stables- GREAT PEOPLE! I have the pleasure of keeping my horse horse at J Bar M Stables. The owners, who are always on-site, are experts in the world of horses. Michael, the owner, and Carol, the manager and their team are great to work with. They are fair, careful, and know how to to care for my horse! My horse needed to be on a diet and worked. It's nice to know that all his food is weighed with a diet specific to his needs. They have indoor and outdoor riding arenas, a new round pen area to work your horse, and the entire facility had a face lift. These people know horses, they are fair and honest. In my opinion you and your horses can't do better than J Bar M Stables.
