Malhure county did a great work by providing us a shelter to get warm and stay warm and a warm place for us to sleep I have a RV that is not a warm place due to no furnace
Not really accommodating for large motorhomes with slides. Smaller rigs had no problem making the tight turns. Access is into the sites are tight turns and the sites are narrow. Our neighbor did not feel comfortable putting out his living room slide even though we told him we could still get out our door without hitting his coach.
All sites had power, but only two water spigots that were already taken. These could have been shared if the occupants would have been nice enough to add a splitter so their neighbors could also have water. We backed up to the building so we could hook-up to the water spigot and filled our tank before moving into our site.
The sites are clean and well kept. Quiet location although we did see homeless in the park next to the fairground. There are security cameras and we did not see anyone wandering around inside the fairgrounds.
My husband and I stopped for the night at the Campground (July 14, 2023), while traveling through the area. Camping spots are grassy & have electric/water hookups, free internet did not work. Sites are very basic/simple & somewhat close together, think there were 12 sites. Public restrooms were not open. When we arrived there were only 2 other campers. Does tend to get dusty when people are driving through the fairgrounds. We met the grounds keeper who was a very nice, friendly man. Our overnight stay was quiet/ pleasant & the price was very reasonable...$30. Appreciated that!
The fair was just what you should expect of one; fun, exhilarating and family friendly. The vendors were very respectful and kind, not to pushy with the sales. One of the game stands even gave my son a plushie even though I'm pretty sure he didn't win, but it made his day :)
