The Turkey Flat Forest Camp is one of several small campground located along the beautiful Wild and Scenic Lostine River. Nestled in a cool fir and pine tree forest, the campground is popular during the summer for local and regional campers visiting the Lostine Canyon and Eagle Cap Wilderness.
From Enterprise, Oregon travel west on Highway 82 for 10 miles to Lostine, Oregon; In Lostine turn left at Lostine River Road and go 7 miles; The Lostine River Road turns into Forest Road 8210 at Forest Boundary; Continue 9 miles on Forest Road 8210 to campground; Campground entrance is on right side of road.
Great little campground along the Lostine river road. 10ish unreservable sights, all pretty spaced out and good size, sturdy picnic table and fire pit, 5$/night. Cleanest pit toilet bathroom I have ever used at a campground. River access at each site as well, it was salmon spawning season so you could watch some big fish trying to get up river! It was beautiful.
The road to get there is washboard gravel for the first 5ish miles and then it turns to big rocky gravel. Any car should be able to get there but it was slow going. Also lots of access to all the beautiful Lostine river trailheads!
