Located in Harpster on Hwy 13, 13 mi S of Kooskia & 12 mi N of Grangeville.
Would give it a zero if I could the owners are ouf of touch with customer service and I get it they need to make money too but everything must be marked up 60% or better and their fuel is a dollar higher than anywhere else
The only thing good is the location. Right next to the river but NO river access. There are a lot of long term residents and trash everywhere. Has a lot of potential but needs some attention. Weeds are everywhere and cats are roaming around and you feel like you are in a junkyard. Garage is everywhere. There is a store onsite which is nice but needs a lot of work . No campfires either which is a bummer
Had so much hope for this little spot. Read all the reviews which were ~4.3. We were capping off a phenomenal rv adventure and had just driven 7 hours on our way home. This was our last night. We had stayed at all kinds of RV campsites along the 10 day adventure. What a disappointment. The owner was super nice. Genuinely wanting to help and make it nice. The place was a mess. Overflowing trash behind inoperable bar/grill. No river access. Weeds and rocks and uneven ground, puddles of water /mud when walked about. Note- we moved to better spot because of weeds; it had a burnt-grass fire-ring thingy right where we had to park our RV. Cats and dogs owned by long term residences roamed and barked. The Super large gazebo ( would be cool for weddings or family reunion feasts) has garbage cans and John Deere mower parked under it.. We left at 5a the next morn. Suggestions: put up a low cost private gate entrance to separate long term renters which will mprove the experience for short term RVers. Clean up the place ( simply remove trash to start), create river access even if just to get a river view so you attract more anglers and river lovers and create a real experience. Again HUGE potential.
My wife and 10 month old son had an absolute great time here. Joe and Vicky have been operating this with their son since this past year. They are working hard on making it a wonderful place, they aren’t finished yet and we still had a wonderful time. We are going to stay here again. The showers were great. Our tent 13 feet yurt fit perfectly in the shaded tree next to the river. Wonderful folks in the RV spots too. All around great 2 nights here. Highly recommended! Also some great sightings of Bald Eagles!
NEVER STAY HERE!
This is by far the worst, most repulsive RV park, and business for that matter, that I've ever encountered. They were racist toward my friends and so so sexist toward my wife. They threatened us and literally said "you should go back to wherever you came from cause your kind ain't welcome here". They kept driving this huge pickup truck with massive flags hanging off the back around and around the campground making sure to drive by us each time. We would have left right then but we got there so late in the evening to make it anywhere else, we left the next morning as soon as it was light. We left two days early.
From a campground review perspective it isn't any better, our campsite was full of garbage and unused construction materials. There was some kind of gigantic steal container half in our site. We asked to move and they were so angry and mean about this I had to walk out of the office mid-conversation. The campground is right next to their septic pond that was the most disgusting smell, words just can't describe. The polarity was reversed on the post and when I explained how dangerous this can be the owner just said "well, I don't think thats right, we haven't had any issues yet so I'm leaving you in this spot". It looks like its right on the river but there is a huge fence in the way and no way to get to the water.
Please please stay somewhere else. This place is so dangerous on so many levels I would give it a negative star rating if I could. I have no idea what's going on there but it's very intolerant and hatful.
