The Granite Hot Springs Pool is located at the end of the Granite Creek Road and is situated just above Granite Creek Falls. If you aren't camping in the area, be prepared for a long scenic drive to the pool on a bumpy dirt road. During the winter months the hot springs are accessible only via snowmobile, dog sled, skiing and via fat biking. No alcohol is allowed in the pool area to protect public safety, prevent drinking and driving, and preserve the family-friendly character of this special place. Please respect the no alcohol rule and plan accordingly.
There are two different seasons when the hot springs are open, summer and winter.
Summer season usually opens late May and ends October 31st. In the spring, make sure to call ahead to confirm they are open, as late snow melt-off can delay the road opening sometimes up to two weeks. Operating hours during the summer are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. After Labor Day hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The winter season runs from early December until the beginning of April. Operating hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily until mid-February when it changes to 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. until the closing date. During the winter months the hot springs are accessible only via snowmobile, dog sled, skiing and via fat biking.
Hosts John and Kris are exceptional people, true HOSTS in every sense on the word, and Gary too, at the actual hot springs pool! I love going to this place on my four days off each week, during the summer months
This place is a piece of heaven on earth. Everywhere you look you’re surrounded by gorgeous scenery. There are deer and moose, fishing in the stream and so much more.
The campground is filled with tall pine trees which provide shade during the hot day. We actually slept in hammocks that hung between the trees. I would definitely recommend doing that! Such a fun experience.
It’s pitch black at night and the stars are out of this world (literally 😊). I can’t recommend this campground enough. Just know, it’s first come first serve. There are bathrooms onsite (holes in the ground) and fresh water on spicket.
Campground was amazing if you go up the road a little bit to the waterfall there is hot springs there for free unlike the pool up the road further where is 8$ a person. I stayed Sunday and Monday (Labor Day) and had no problem getting a spot. The sunrise was beautiful in the morning
The only thing that I did not like was the road it was 9 miles long, gravel and very bumpy.
This place was amazing as far as the views. The campground is clean and very well kept and best of all right beside a beautiful river. . But the road!!! It's a tough road, some gravel, some fist size rocks and mostly mud.
Great campsite. You can make reservations or see what's available when you arrive. There are several along the road. Outhouses are clean and well stocked. But always bring TP just in case.
