Gooseneck Cove is one of four boat-access only campgrounds on Shasta lake. Located on the upper Sacramento arm of the lake, this facility is very popular. Whether or not the access is difficult varies depends on the current lake level. There are vault toilets and no piped water. This is a pack it in, pack it out facility.
This is a boat access only campground located on the Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake.
This is a really cool spot. We houseboated into this cove and parked it for the night. Only issue is the smoke from campfires at the campground traveled down to us in the houseboat. Would come here again and camp in the actual campground next time.
