Goose Bay is a concessionaire run marina and campground that is owned by the Bureau of Reclamation. The BoR completely renovated the campground in 2014, making the sites spacious and handicap accessible. The boat slips are also brand new and are built of steel and concrete, making them durable, safe and sturdy.
There are no beaches, there is no swimming the water has bloom algae in it. Sites are level grass is dry and brittle.
First and last time here. So disappointed. If you don't own a boat, don't bother. Wanted to have fun with family here. Nope!
Road to get here is horrendous. Bureau of reclamation needs to get this taken care of. AWFUL
Will not ever be back
Camp hosts were nice.
Super clean, good sized sites, and all of the staff are phenomenal. An absolutely perfect campground except for one thing. There’s BLM land right next to it which fills up with some obnoxious people who invade the campground’s facilities and stay up late making a lot of noise long past the campground’s quiet hours, ruining it for everyone. Not to mention doing stupid things like setting off fireworks in the dry and tall July/August grass. The other campers inside the campground were great.
This is a very well executed campground. Very easy to drive through and park in my spot. Nice landscaping, facilities and walking paths. Free water fill for campers and a couple of nice ladies at the well stocked store. Great location on the lake, wildlife abound and we even had an osprey nest right near our site. This was my first trip as a travel trailer camper and I would most definitely recommend Goose bay to anyone looking for a nice campground.
