Free Primitive camping. Great for travelers and passersby. We stopped in for a night on our travels. No cell reception, so be mindful. But lots of beautiful stars and it’s free : )
Been going here for years. Fishing is good. Pack everything you will need. One of the best remote camping sites. Cell service is nonexistent which is perfect. Good river access. Can pull a camper in the area. Bathrooms are clean enough. All I can say is don't ruin this area. Pick up after yourself, be mindful of other campers, and enjoy WV.
My husband and I spent four days there. No hook up's or water you have to bring it with you. I loved it, you can see and hear the river running by. Fishing is decent, good size trout and other fish. Best advice is Pack what you need in the pack it out. Some folks just leave it. Sad.
Vault bathroom it's kept clean. Nothing to do there but fish. 😁
Have camped here for over 25 years. My favorite place to spend time with my family relaxing. Nice River and great trails. No tables need to bring you own. Only one toilet as you first come to the camp site so bring your own with a shower tent works out great. We take our dogs with us all the time. And you will need to bring your fire for the camp site. We also take bikes for the kids to ride there is no playground but we take corn hole, lasso golf and football to keep them busy. We camp in the fall of 2022 and it was awesome leaves were changing and the nights were cool so a nice camp fire was great. The air felt great and smelled so clean.
Beautiful, tranquil, private spot on the Cheat River. There is a vault toilet. No showers/water. No fee, permit or reservations required to stay. Just pull in an already established camp spot. Can stay for up to 14 days. Quiet and very dark at night. Can hear and see the river from most camp spots. No cell service. No trash service. Take trash with you when you leave. Keep Monongahela Forest Beautiful! 🍁🌲☀️🌊
