I was very displeased with the campground. First we had to wait 40 minutes just to get checked in. Then the sites are very close and without a picnic table. Also all day and evening trucks reving up the engines...ALL OF THE TIME!! You would think it would be a bunch teenagers. And they have wi fi but it doesn't work. Come on people...have rules and enforce them. We won't be back!!!
It's not a bad campground. Very large. Lots of campers. Looks like most people live here permanently. We were just passing through. Got a spot right on the water. Ducks are very friendly. Showers are very nice.
Great winter spot. Golf, fishing, nature, pickleball, bingo and great people. Not a big city experience, you will need to travel for shopping. The office staff go above and beyond. The park hosts breakfasts and pitch in events. Not a place for every one but I love it!
Recently visited Torrey Island Campground, and definitely enjoyed our stay. Very large campground with many different sized sites and prices, depending upon the amenities. Lots of friendly walkers throughtout the campground and it seems to be the perfect place for boaters and folks who enjoy fishing. Cindy at the check-in office was very helpful and graciously accommodating. She helped us find the perfect spot, along the waterfront, and upon being asked for recommendations of a good restaurant nearby, she suggested Margarita's, which turned out to be a delicious choice! Definitely enjoyed our stay, and look forward to returning!
This is such a nice little area for fishing and wildlife viewing. I always enjoy watching the alligators stalk people fishing hoping to snag anything potential catch.
We were able to view river otters rolling around on the paths which was awesome.
