It is a beautiful place to stay. Clean, is the 2nd time I camp there and all I can say is that is an amazing place
There is a playground for the kids. The river is 2 min walk, I can't wait for next summer.
The campground is in a beautiful setting, right by the Eel River, and in the midst of the redwoods. We chose a site under the redwoods and it's beautiful. Because it's midweek, it's quiet and so peaceful here. The staff has been very helpful and friendly, and that's always nice. The wi-fi is one of the best that we've seen in an RV park, which is one of the reasons we chose this park. Although this is our first trip in our new RV, we've been staying in RV parks for years, in cabins and rental RVs. They often tell you they have wi-fi, but don't tell you it only works at the office, or their bandwidth is inadequate for more than one or two campers at a time, etc. When I called for the reservation, I was told the wi-fi was good and there was a repeater right at our spot, so we made the reservation. Much to our delight, it works as we were told, and we're very happy about that. They have a choice of hook-ups, and we chose just to get water &electricity this time so we could be under the redwoods. Next time we might try a pull-through instead of a back-in, but that's just a personal preference from new RVers as the back-in sight is beautiful, if a bit more work than a pull through. The employees work hard to keep this park nice and it shows. The bathrooms and showers are well stocked and clean, the site was immaculate when we arrived, and employees are visible and helpful while working hard to keep the campground looking good and functioning well. Overall, it's a nice park and it's now in our RV travel logbook as one we would like to visit again.
We absolutely loved this campground. We were right on the river and the kids loved it so much. I wish we would have stayed several more days. We will definitely come back for sure.
Restrooms and showers were clean. Check in wad easy. Overall great stay.
What a wonderful place, like a small paradise. The campground is very clean and the lots ar big enough. The stuff is very friendly. They have as well as a small shop. Ice cream and other small things available.
The showers have hot water and are clean too.
The place is ver quiet amd peaceful. We were here for three nights.
Thanks a lot.
If Chris is still the owner then this will always be top rated. We stayed here 3 months right after Chris bought the place and he had already cleaned the place up and put a new fence around it. My truck broke down as I pulled in and had it towed to eureka. Chris took us grocery shopping. We were headed to Montana when the pandemic hit and our first night was in the giant redwoods RV park and all our reservations got cancelled all the way to Montana. Vicky and Robert were the managers then. We ended up staying 7 months due to the pandemic. You can't go wrong staying in this campground right in the heart of the redwoods. Top notch campgrounds and people.
