I have never stayed at a more quieter campground. The camp staff were very friendly. There are hiking trails from the camp and places to explore. I definitely recommend this site as a must stop. Please note: do plan ahead and reserve your campsite in advance. It gets very busy here, especially in the summer months and on holidays.

We could have stayed here for ages; it was so beautiful and peaceful. While the redwoods in the campground are fairly spread out, the size of the sites made for a decent amount of space between campers, and if a big family wanted to book multiple sites, it would be a great way to spread out between sites. Bathrooms were clean, and single lockable restrooms/showers are always a plus. Rangers had quarters on hand! 50 cents for two minutes; warm-ish and okay pressure, nothing to write home about. Large food lockers/bear boxes at each site. The road noise wasn’t too bad either and we had site #18 which backed right up to the road.

great place for camping! there are bathrooms and coin operated showers. we arrived late at night and woke up to views of the tallest redwood trees i've ever seen! the only negative would be how crowded the space is on weekends. you're packed in like sardines and can easily hear your camping neighbors in the sites next to you. you're also facing the Avenue of the Giants so the road sounds can be disruptive if you're sensitive to that.

Spent the night New Year 2024. Camp site 51. Not so close not so far from restroom. Peaceful and calm. Must be packed in the summer. Open all year round. Book ahead.
