Here for a Roping competition. The facility is as expected. The logistics of the competition was on point from the time the two riders and calf burst into arena until the exit. The announcer was mostly clear but it did take minute to get used to the cadence. It was a wonderful experience.

As usual very crowded very busy and yes fun for the family, plenty food! I noticed that people with the handicap sticker still had very far to travel in order to enter. From the point you enter you’re greeted with smiles, but I didn’t see any signs that direct you to where the tickets are located for the rides. Plenty animals were present, cows, horses, goats, seals…there’s fun to be had by all and the children will find it quite amusing

Every time we go back to the fair, we have such a good time but I will say I think the fair is currently over now it’s usually during the month of October or maybe 2 to 3 weeks. Usually starting the first weekend in October running to the third weekend for about 2 1/2 weeks. We got to have such a unique experience when it came to food including trying eight different kinds of lemonade, seafood, steak, tips, pickled pizza, and Greek food just to name a few. There are a couple of things that I will say were different this year and a little bit frustrating. There was only one real booth to buy tickets to be able to ride rides. Most adult rides were 8+ tickets you could only buy a certain amount of tickets at a time and you had to reload the card in order to be able to ride Any type of ride. The kids rides were usually about 3 to 4 tickets which didn’t take up much, but the adult rides after two swipes you were pretty much out depending on what level of ticket you got, and you had to go back and stand in line to get more tickets. The type of rides that they have are really really fun for kids. Enjoyed every moment of the rides, they did did ride, including the Hulk, the bumper cars, and the NASCAR race ride. Also, I do feel that the games were pretty even lol. We played the games, but I did not feel taken in in manner lol ! We did win a couple of prizes, which at some point made me glad we did that last because we had a lot to carry to the car. If you enjoy a good fair , really good unique foods, water shows, and some unique rides coming to the Georgia fair next year should be on the top of your list.

I had am amazing time speaking at the Georgia FCCLA with 4,000 plus students in attendance here at the Georgia National Fairgrounds. Caitlin was an amazing host. I am grateful we were able to make this event happen. Great energy, great lighting, great sound.

I always enjoy this fair. There are various small fairs, the/a city fair that’s downtown but nothing touches the Georgia National fair. Get there early in order to stay the entire day to get your money worth whether with kids or not. I enjoy shopping deals at the various food trucks posted. Please pay attention, the first cotton candy and candle apple stand may have a great deal on candy apples but the cotton candy or lemonade are just not a deal. One place for funnel cakes charge a deal with a great portion size vs a $10 funnel cake that looks like a pancake; I come to bargain and get my money worth. My crew enjoys the animals and art exhibit.
