We had an RV spot right on the brook, easy to get to but private. Electric and water hookups, big area just for us, on the water, picnic table and fire pit. Nice playing area, the kids loved it and hiking trails for every age into the forest. Close to many White Mountains attractions. Exactly the way we imagined an RV trip would be like. Laundry didn't really work, but we managed.

Our 10 year old son says not to post anything because we want Fransted to be a secret! This has been our second year visiting Fransted Family Campground (multiple times both years), and both our family and our friends love it. Just the right size to keep things quiet, but large enough to keep people busy if they want to be. The owners are very pleasant and helpful, the campground is tidy, and the stream is a lot of fun for the entire family (bring your tubes, especially if there's been a rainy summer like this one!). We've stayed in both W/E and full-hookup sites, waterfront and non-waterfront sites and all have been enjoyable. We have a hybrid camper, but the tent sites on the far side of the stream are tempting to come back and tent-camp! We enjoy the trail that leads out of the campground and along the stream, where it eventually meets up with the Gale River. The campground is just a mile or so from the Franconia Market and ice cream stand. Loads of hiking opportunities in the Notch. We've enjoyed the campground field for playing wiffle ball, basketball, and volleyball. The mini-golf course "greens" have gotten a bit lumpy over time, but we still enjoy the challenge with every visit! Thank you Fransted!

Great location and staff. Reasonable pricing of season. Campground has some dated amenities such as the electrical to some sites. With more demanding rigs the breaker in our section kept tripping at night. Other than this inconvenience it is a great place to camp.

Only a 3 star because the showers were buggy.. hadn't been swept for some time. I hesitated in writing this because wanted to compare with other wooded campgrounds in the area. All was bug free in other wooded campgrounds. The site was nice but didn’t look like alot of attention was paid in keeping mowing/weeding tidy. Location was perfect. Flower beds in front were unattended and not a great first impression..

We had a great stay at Fransted. Our site was very spacious. Easy to get to so many beautiful parks and trails in the area. Campground was so quiet and the layout was nice with the river. Restrooms were older but they were clean. We didn't have children with us but the playground and mini golf needed some work with weeds and up keep. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
