We took a log raft from the shelter side and went to the little island. Made a fire and prepared and ate the bookies we I caught in the brook, along the edge of the upper trail section. We slept overnight and we were disturbed by a bear on shore in the night!
Had taken my son on his first backpacking adventure to the tent sites . They fill up quick so make sure you have an alternate plan . No potable water on site. Must be prepared to be self sufficient and please Practice low impact camping.
Very easy hike to get to. Great place to experience nature in a beautiful surrounding. There are 8 tent platforms and a shelter. You can swim in the pond.... if your brave enough to share it with some wildlife....
