Located at 1630 Bent Road in Wake Forest, approximately five miles east of NC 50 and three miles west of US 1/Wake Forest. From NC 98, take Stony Hill Road north and turn left on Bud Morris Road. Turn left on Bent Road and follow it to the recreation area.
At site 2 there is one outlet in the bathroom, but it does not work. Need some gravel placed to transition between the sidewalk and ground. It is too high of a drop-off for wheelchairs - dangerous.
Wonderful secluded family place to camp. We actually walked around during the week and no one around. Was really nice.
Well maintained group campsites, nice trails, clean washrooms with warm water shower, surprised to see automatic hot water shower which was actually not good as we wanted normal or cold water due to hot n sweaty temperature outside.
Great family/group campground. Very clean and there are plenty of facilities. We use BW Wells for our Cub Scout camp outs.
2 small loop hiking trails that are good for beginners or casual hikers, maybe decent for trail running workouts. Camp sites look nicely maintained. Very clean, access to the lake. Well marked.
