The Explorer Cabins are located in the middle of a small town right outside the west entrance to Yellowstone NP, which is a good entrance to be near if you aren't staying inside the park. It was nice to be able to spread out in the roomy, clean, 2-bedroom cabin, and the faux fireplace was great. The cable/wifi worked well, and the fire pits outside are a nice touch. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and we were able to sleep in late without the sounds of people and traffic. There is a kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, dishwasher, and stove top. Bring a cooler for ice if you need it. The space is best suited for 2 adults or a family with 2 small children. Overall, I recommend these cabins for a rustic but quiet and comfortable option to a hotel room.

The cabins are exceptional. They are close to grocery stores, a variety of restaurants, a food truck, shopping and very close to the Yellowstone entrance. This is a wonderful area for walking. The cabin was clean and beyond adequate. Comfy bed, microwave and fridge, fire pits nightly for s’mores, big televisions, access to free coffee and laundry. Excellent experience.

Really enjoyed our stay here. I’d give it 5 stars, but we stayed in a duplex style cabin and we could hear every step, word, and sound from the other room. It was bad the 1st night when a family with young kids were in the room. The other 2 nights were quiet. Would be bad if we had party type group of people staying in there. There are single type cabins. I’d recommend calling to check availability on a single. Other than that, it was great. I would highly recommend!

Thank you for a great stay.

We had visited West Yellowstone in the past for a snowmobiling adventure in the past and booked a regular hotel room. This time we decided to upgrade to an individual cabin. The Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone was a great choice! Our cabin was roomy with a separate living room and kitchenette with everything you need to prepare simple meals. The furnishings looked new and the decor appropriate for the historic nature of West Yellowstone. It snowed everyday and the staff was busy removing the snow by 7 am each morning. In the future the Explorer Cabins is the only place we will stay!!

Our little cabin was perfect! Very clean, good use of a space, and quick service from house keeping. The kitchenette was perfect for us. Also, the mattress was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. When we come back, we plan to stay here again! Convenient location to walk to town, nice and quiet and they had their fire pits going every night. It felt private even though there were cabins close by. Highly recommend!
