This is basically the potholed and muddy gravel parking lot of a movie theater. It’s only advantage, and I mean only, is it’s proximity to the west gate of Yellowstone. It has as much vegetation as the Mt St Helens blast zone. If it’s raining prepare for mud as the gravel coverage is spotty. Your experience may vary, but our neighbors entertained us with blasted country music, clouds of cigarette smoke, and blinding LED camper lights that were on all night. One set of campers had a group of large dogs that were so aggressive and unhinged that I literally took bear spray with me when I took my child to the restroom out of concern that the ailing owners would lose control of them as we passed. The managers didn’t appear to notice anything. We booked two nights, but left after the first. If you have other options, stay anywhere else. Personally, I’d sooner park my rig at the Walmart in Rexburg 65 miles away than stay here again.
This was the perfect spot to stay close to Yellowstone park. Very clean facility and so much to do close by (shopping, dining, etc). It was also reasonably priced considering the close proximity to the park. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. My family will definitely be staying here again.
Easy to book, very friendly staff. Property is immaculate, including extremely clean bathrooms, shower, and laundry. Just can’t beat the location. I was bummed when I couldn’t get a site inside Yellowstone, but this worked better for us as what we wanted to do was closer. Highly recommend, and will stay again when our travels take us that way.
Best location to stay at in West Yellowstone with an RV period.
Is it woodsy? No.
Is it grassy? No.
Is it in a prime location close to the west entrance and Grizzly Bear and Wolf exhibits? Yes.
This is an RV Park on gravel, not a campsite deep in the woods. They have hookups and they provide $20 towards the gift shop and 2 free ice cream cones (huckleberry flavor is an option). Doesn't get better for the price!
If you’re in West Yellowstone to enjoy the RV experience, this isn’t the place for you. If you’re in West Yellowstone to go to Yellowstone National Park and need someplace to sleep, this park is perfect. Clean, spacious bathrooms, clean RV park, wide, long spaces and literally at the edge of YNP. The west entrance is right up the road and this park gives you great access to the town of West Yellowstone as well. I recommend it.
