Beautiful environment to chill, go for a walk or just to get some fresh air and in touch with nature for a while.
This marina only allows you to live aboard 6 months out of the year.In Florida. Which is one reason why its empty. Great sunset from the boat.It has potential to bring in major income for the poorest city in Florida yet mismanaged by the city by local politicians that people keep voting in.. This marina was $24 mil new and a gem. Now in disrepair. A dock in the water, pool and restaurant closed. Thatch roof over outside closed bar falling off. Campground is nice. All spots lakefront with clean bathrooms. Gators easily seen. Saw swimming through marina, sunbathing on a dock that fell in and at the launch site.Wasn't the best place to bring a girl.I cringed when I saw people launching their boats there..
It is a beautiful area of Pahokee a true Jewel but it also has a bad side because of the area cars have been known to be broken into and property stolen. If you're careful it can be a wonderful trip.
Marina in disrepair. Including 9 of the remaining 11 boats left in marina. Half the docks are roped off, locked, look rough. Whole place appears not maintained other than bathroom clean (but rusty and mirror and soap dispenser broken). No trash littering facility. Boat Ramps look good. Marina rates much too high for state of decay. Including the 9 boats looking long unused, uncared for. Marinas on Caloosahatche cheaper and better condition. Restaurant not open. Pool closed. Shame.
