I would go on 3 1/2 stars; but: The place has pros and cons as follows :
Pros: good “price “
Next to Fox River, you can fish next from where you sleep
The old guy , I’m assuming the owner, super extra polite
They have a clean fish table
The firewood is cheap
Cons: you cannot burn wood unless you RENT for an extra fee a metal fire pit. Not bad because is one time fee. Bad for people sleep in the camping 1 night
Secondly, they do have a boat ramp which again you have to pay an one time fee. I would strongly recommend not to launch your boat here and drive it 1 mile on the other side of the dam and save yourself few bucks.
Conclusion: if you use this place to land fish, is amazing
If you stay more than 1 night rent a fire pit. If you stay one night only, bring your fire pit above the ground
ALSO VERY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CAMPSITES: the check out is the same time as you checked in
Peaceful, off the beaten path, rustic campground ran by friendly owners Jan and her husband. Prices are reasonable and the campground is very clean and well-maintained. No bathhouse or flush toilets but the pit toilets were very clean and didn’t smell. There is a section for tents right by the river and another section for RVs under the shady trees. Each RV site has electric and water, and there is a dump station on the premises. It’s a pretty area in Wisconsin and about a 25 minute drive to Oshkosh. Lots of interesting things to do and see in the area. Would stay here again.
Pretty rustic campsite. No showers or flush toilets. Campground is located on the Fox River given access for kayaking canoeing and fishing.
Very quite campground. Great fishing. The owners are amazing. Very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend and will be back.
We arrived in town for a family reunion and stayed at Eureka Dam campground. Our hosts were so kind. What a joy to meet great people! I especially enjoyed the early mornings on the river by the dam. The bird watching - Fantastic!
A place to remember. 💛
