The camping sites were good but the facilities were outdated and filthy. In need of maintenance and cleaning. The bathrooms were disgusting with no regular cleaning obviously. After paying and reserving online, the second day I was told I needed to pay additional money $40 for the tent we clearly informed them of. Idiots!! Not going back. They lost another customer.
This could be a wonderful RV park and clearly was when it was in its prime. Unfortunately it has not been kept up. Bathrooms are disgusting and went uncleaned for a week. Trash is often overflowing. Hosts are nowhere to be found in the park - the folks next to us were sketchy and not even sleeping in a tent or RV. Looked like a homeless camp. Hosts were unpleasant and signs make it appear that they don’t like communicating with customers or having children around. Pretty sad place unless you’re in a self contained rig. Can’t believe we paid $350 per spot for 6 nights here.
Great alternative to Cape Disappointment State Park. Just a few minutes away. Were there mid October, so the Resort was not fully open. During summer there are many amenities. Full hookups. Pet friendly. Worth a look.
I stayed at this park for 3 weeks (Nov 15th-Oct 3rd). I spent time getting to know the workers, specifically the maintenance men and the cleaning lady.
This establishment is so poorly managed that I would honestly not recommend it to anyone.
First, the owners can’t keep workers. From what I experienced and heard this place can’t keep maintenance people because they are treated as slaves and paid basically minimum wage. The cleaning lady walked past my tent in tears more days than most, because apparently the office staff is just rude.
The facilities that are available look like they were installed in the 70s and never touched again. There is literal mold growing in the men’s restroom near me. Why would you put untreated wood benches in a shower?
The spots are all over priced for what they are. A not-flattened piece of land with a “possibly” working power pole and water - only $50 a night. Free spider infestation with every pole. The trees around are pretty, but I’m not sleeping in the trees…
Honestly start putting these business out of work. There is no reason for them to charge a 100x markup on what this park costs to maintain. Especially when the management is vile.
P.s. this owner has 10 similar properties in the area and they are all the same. Sunrise Resorts…
Campground, think they rent campers. I stayed in my 5th wheel. I stayed in phase one nearest to the pool and lodge. It was quite cramped, few more feet between site would have been nice, if you have a big truck parking is rough, specially when people coming in and out of sites. Phase two was in the woods and seemed like sites were bigger. The camp was quiet and the view from the lodge was awesome. They are usually a member only but was glad to see they were accepting anyone. I was able to get a site a week before going so I was pleased just to get a spot since everyone else was full. The pool looked nice but wasn't able to use it, to busy site seeing and beaching. If you have a big rig be careful coming in as the guard shack is a bit tight, I would advise using the left lane if no one is coming down the hill, that is quite steep as well.
