Serenity is the the word that comes to mind when I found this place. I've been searching for last few years and finally I'm home. The only thing that could possibly increase this...ocean. Otherwise, I'm content. JC and Reagan are amazing. Keep on keeping on!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
This is a long term rv camp only. No overnights, but you can do a week or longer (currently). Great country setting, lots of shade trees and about 15 min away from anything you might need.
All dirt and sand road and spots, but still relatively clean. Very friendly neighbors and be sure to say hi to Ronnie in the office, he’s got some great stories.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice quiet spot, not too close to the city, and looking to hang out for a week or more.
Too many people living at this RV park. Trashy, poor management. No one is at the office, you call the number and leave a message and nobody ever gets back to you. Low tree branches for campers. Garbage bins are always full. The full timers leave trash and household items outside of the trash bins.
Don't park in the sand they are trying to grow grass, lol
I think this park is fabulous, especially for those who like a little peace and quiet, with space to breathe, all at a reasonable rate. Lots of trees, plus plenty of room away from the lots to walk the dogs or even throw a ball with them. It's well-maintained and the management is friendly and easy to work with.
There are pros and cons with every park.
Pros, reliable wifi, huge lots with good space between the lots, great rates, plenty of shade to choose from, flexibility in using a clothesline or putting up temporary fencing for your pets around your rig.
Also, I had more residents greet me or offer help in the first two weeks than I did in four months at my previous park in New Braunfels. One resident offers laundry services, there is a basketball hoop and a couple swings on a tree for the kids to play on.
Plus, this park is conveniently close to the Toyota plant as well as several trailheads linking the Medina River Greenway south of San Antonio, great for bike riding or walking the dogs or getting the kids out.
Cons here would be a little further from your standard amenities such as gas and restaurants and groceries. Also a lot of sand and sand burrs too. But for some of us, that's all part of country life and a trade we're happy to make for the quiet nights, regular campfires, friendly neighbors, and the relaxed atmosphere.
Yes, this park is one that will more likely appeal to long-term fulltimers, but I would recommend it even for a week-long getaway in the country or just passing through to the coast or wherever. This park will definitely stay on my list as a good spot for me and my crew.
I've been here a month and absolutely love it! The WiFi is the fastest I've experienced at any RV park. This is importance since I'm 33 and work full time from the RV.
Unlike other parks this one has tons of open space and lots of trees. The people are very nice and the management is extremely responsive. If you're in the San Antonio area, I highly recommend this park. It's also quite close to downtown San Antonio.
