Great place to stop by. Very interesting and the staff delightful and knowledgeable.
If you have a boat or friends with a boat it's a great & easy place to visit.
The grounds are supposed to be open. We chartered a boat to get there. The island was completely closed; nobody allowed to dock. Our captain called the Maine Department of Parks and Recreation and was told it should have been open. Sorry…they didn’t know why it was closed. They provided the park supervisor’s number, but it was no longer in service. So lots of wasted time and money for nothing.
