One campsite for short-term campers in a camper van or small trailer. Three and a half blocks to Beach. 1 and 1/2 blocks to restaurants and bars and convenience store. The house is in the Miller Beach section of Gary Indiana and is surrounded by the Indiana National Dunes our 61th National Park.
Want to wear out your kiddoes? Get some much needed exercise climbing the stairs to reach the top with amazing views. Descend into the amazing biodiversity the Dunes has to offer. Ranger led hikes are very informative, check the schedule on the Indiana Dunes National Park website calendar.
It was a beautiful experience. We paid $25 for a car load to get in the park but once in you could do a lot for your money. They had a BBQ area to grill out/picnic, plus lots of areas to walk. The water felt like the ocean with small waves and everything.
Nice beach. Calm and peaceful. A perfect place to spend some quality outdoor time.
Absolutely beautiful and not as difficult to walk as I thought it would be. I absolutely recommend going. The pictures do NOT do justice.
