Stayed 2 nites. Staff is extremely knowledgeable & helpful. Location is convenient to sites. Lets face it- more of a parking lot w/ hookups than a campground. Gravel w/ strip of grass. Saw 1 picnic table. Showers were fabulous. They say wifi- but no internet at campsites for laptop. Traffic noise at nite is bad- starts up again in early morn. That being said- worth it for convenience to downtown. After reading reviews that said $2 trolley stops right there, I wondered why not drive. I now know you DO NOT drive into city center. Parking is limited and/or $$$! Ice available along w/ maps & late check in available. I would stay again knowing all this.
Perfect location! This park is close to the Main street in Deadwood, the trolly will pick you up and drop you off right at the main office (If you don’t feel like walking) $2.00 to ride or stop at the visitor center pay $5.00 and get a full day pass.
So, the park was perfect for us. We didn’t spend time at our camper so the tight spots didn’t bother us at all. We weren’t in Deadwood to stay at the camper. There is only water and electric, but the dump station is easy to access. The sites are level and some have a small grassy yard and others are just gravel.
The bathroom was so clean and the showers were awesome! The laundry space was excellent! One recommendation would be to maybe add another washer and dryer. But seriously still a great clean space.
The ladies working at the park are so nice and will go out of their way (within reason, don’t be rude) to answer your questions and to make sure you have a great time. The park was so quiet during the evening and the morning views of the hills are excellent. If you don’t need a big luxurious camping site please stay here. It really is a great place to spend your time.
Campground very nice. Great shower and restroom facilities. Hook ups available. No sewage but dump available on site.
