Rapid City South RV Park, formally The Tee Pee Campground, is located along highway 16 (Mt. Rushmore Road) on the south side of Rapid City. We offer 92 total sites: 82 are full hook up and are 10 water and electric rv sites. We have a clean shower house, coin laundry, a small playground, dog walks, good WIFI, good cell phone service, good OTA tv reception and a dump station.
Rapid City South RV Park is conveniently located to all major attractions, making a right out of the park Mt. Rushmore is 20 miles, downtown Rapid City with it's shopping and dinning is 5 miles to the left making us a convenient home base location.
To See And Do
There's much to see and do here including visit Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, The Badlands, Reptile Gardens, Founding fathers exhibit, Devils Tower, both the Wind Cave and Jewel Cave parks, hiking Black Elk Peak, The Mammoth Site, plus horseback riding and 4 wheeling the black hills So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about visiting the Black Hills.

We were greeted by the most wonderful host. They took us right to our spot on a clean level area with a table.

Just got back from our 10 day stay. It’s a great RV Park with wide roads. Well maintained. Very quiet. The owner and his crew were working everyday on improvements. Nice people with a nice park. Headed back in August and looking forward to it.
For us it is the perfect place. 15 mi from rapid city, 15 miles from keystone. Big wide spaces that are well kept, with laundromat on site.
Great walking in and around the park.
The owners are rv owners and travelers themselves.
If you want out of the traffic in a nice rv park with the best prices especially if you stay a week or month then you can't beat Southern Hills RV.
