This is our 4th time to camp here because we like that we can dry camp in the North Beach right on the Colorado River, but this time will probably be our last. Too many day campers coming and going. This time there was a bunch of people hanging out at the showers and they had 2 big dogs running around off leash and I worried for my 2 little dogs so we had to go further down to the other showers. We felt uneasy with the number of day campers that randomly walk through your camp site.

There was constant traffic throughout the day, and a lot going very fast. There was even traffic driving around in the North Beach throughout the night which seemed odd considering the park gates are closed. We were woken up at 5 am by the maintenance workers picking up the trash right outside our motorhome.

They now charge $10 per dog per day so it was $40 a day for us. Not sure if this is new, but this is the first time we were charged which I feel is pretty pricey for dry camping and over in Big Bend it was $35 with full hook-ups and much cleaner.

It is unfortunate because the view of the casino lights from Laughlin at night are great, but I doubt we'll be back.

I stopped for a day,on Monday. The area was clean and quiet. It has a portable potty, dumpster, spaces for RV and all the other amenities. The beaches around the area are in pristine condition. The clerks at the entrance were very polite. It's a perfect place to spend time with your family.
