There is no shade and not much level area, but there is a great watering hole that is a must see.
As someone else mentioned, definitely better for tents than hammocks. The camp is very scenic. Crystal Creek flows into a steep gorge that descends rather steeply near the camp.
Small campsite, not very level ground. The ground is also very hard, so plan on needing a rock or tent stake hammer here. The view is quite scenic from the latrine trail where you can get a glimpse of Lake Superior. Not recommended for hammocks. Also of note: the spur to this camp is quite long.
